Dear Friends and Supporters of Hassadna Jerusalem Music Conservatory
Hassadna Jerusalem Music Conservatory is one of Israel’s premier institutes of music education. We offer music education of the highest caliber and work with some of Israel’s most talented musicians.
Our student body is the heart and soul of our school. We strive to provide our students with a tailor-made program which reflects their unique talents, interests and abilities. Our challenging and rich program of study is complemented by the personal and professional support throughout their studies.
We work hard to get to know every student individually. As our students progress and develop in their music, we continuously re-evaluate and modify their program of study to maximize their learning.
Young people who enter our musical home are encouraged to dream big and are fully supported in this process; we ensure they have access to the finest musicians available and constantly supplement and enrich their educational experience through the many special programs we offer.
We complement individual music instruction through enrichment activities such as participation in ensembles, orchestras, theory classes, master classes and workshops. Our students are encouraged to regard these activities as an integral aspect of their music education.
While Hassadna’s central aim is educating Israel’s next generation of musicians and music lovers, we are equally committed to creating a ‘warm musical home’ for students and faculty. All members of our extended family – students, faculty, staff and their families – encounter a supportive, welcoming and open environment.
In a city as complex – and often tense – as Jerusalem, we take great pride in the tremendous diversity of our staff and student community. We actively recruit and welcome the full range of human diversity our special city has to offer. Religious and secular students, Jews and Arabs, new and established immigrants, families of all socio-economic levels, youth at risk and special needs children all form an integral part of our human mosaic.
I believe that music has the power to create the kind of bond which can transcend political and social rifts. The students in our special programs for Children of Ethiopian Descent and Children with Special Needs are provided with all the support they need to integrate into our student body and achieve musical excellence. We are grateful to all of our students’ families and to our friends and supporters for enabling us to achieve a truly unique study environment.
I invite you to learn more about Hassadna and become part of our community by joining us at our concerts, visiting our school, enrolling your children for music studies — and by viewing our website.
